The meaning of the four symbols; Shekina, Yoni, Yoni Yantra and the lightning Bolt are as follows:
Shekina; Truth, power, creative self. From the Hebrew Shekina means “dwelling place”, giving the concept that God had no home without her. Like her Tantric counterpart Shakti, the Shekina was the source of all “soul” in the universe. Shekina was to the Hebrew God what Kali Shakti was to Shiva, his female soul, his mind, his energy, his creativity and his essential spouse. The Shekina as the “Indwelling One” might be compared to the Latin I-deal, or Goddess within. Shekina represents the discarded cornerstone, Pearl, Moon, Earth, Night, Garden, Well, Sea and Supernal Woman and Divine Goddess..
Yoni;The sign of the Yoni was meant to convey the shape of external female genitilia, which the ancients clearly recognized as the seat of female sexual power. Tantrics viewed that power as the source of all creative action. Far from describing female sexuality as “passive” in the western manner. Tantric Hindus regarded female orgasm as the energizing principle of the Universe. It is the symbol that represents the essence of female power. Compassion, wisdom, and abundance.
Yoni Yantra; The Sanskrit word for Yantra means a meditation sign. Like a shorthand form of the mandala, it is intended to convey spiritual insight to those who sit still and contemplate it.
